May 31, 20242 yr I built an Unraid server by following some YouTube videos. I have it running and have not stored anything on it yet. I really have no idea about it honestly and am a complete noob. My goal was/is to be able to use both my desktop pc and my MacBook Pro to be able to store and view the same files. My main use would be photos and videos I make on a camera. Can anyone please explain how and if I could store files from either the pc or the Mac and be able to see them with the other and also be able to make changes to the same file on either the pc or the Mac? May 31, 20242 yr Community Expert Solution You just need to create or or more shares and export them over SMB, both Windows and Mac can use them. https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/shares/user-shares/
