Parity check causing connection problem to server

Featured Replies

Initially parity checks ran fine but now every time a parity check begins running within a few percent of progress I'm not able to connect to the server page, or apps, or via SSH. A ping also doesn't get a response.

I can do an unclean shutdown and pause/stop the parity check and all runs fine. But of course I want the parity check to be performed.

Where in the diagnostics zip could I check for any related issues?

Thanks in advance

Normally you would post the diagnostics zip file to get feedback.    Probably the first place to look would be the syslog.

BTW:   You may want to consider using the Parity Check Tuning plugin to only run the parity check in increments when the system would otherwise be idle.

I've attached the diagnostics file. I checked over the parity tune and it runs during the night. Previous to the issue the parity check ran fine for the couple of months I had unraid set up. For the last few times it hasn't run for more than 1 or 2 minutes before the server doesn't respond to anything. I had it set to run on first week of month and only run between midnight and 7am.

I'm totally stumped on what it could be - thanks in advance for help.
