sudden disk failures on sdd and sdb after 1 week powerdown

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I have a new unraid deployment (with refurb drives) that I was in the process of migrating to from OMV.... I went on vacation for a week so decided to shutdown unraid since I had yet to fully swing everything over to the new server.

Now that I'm back Unraid is showing two drives, SDB and SDD missing and moved them under unnasigned devices. I've tried swapping power and sata cables and attemping short smartctl tests but neither work.

Would anyone mind taking a look at my diagnostics and letting me know if these are obvious DOAs for sdb and sdd or if there are some steps I can take to check?

Thanks!

Read SMART Thresholds failed: scsi error medium or hardware error (serious)

Both report this on SMART, if swapping cables didn't help it's likely a disk issue.
