January 10, 201214 yr Question - How well does something like this work with Unraid? I mean if you plug it in via esata is it instantly recognized (I assume not)? Do you just reboot and it's recognized? Something like this seems perfect for preclearing, but I've never used anything external with Unraid so I'm wondering how easily it works.
January 10, 201214 yr You plug them in, monitor the syslog file and see it get added. Works for USB and eSATA. These are neat, but not perfect for preclearing. Preclearing takes days on end. A drive will get very hot in one of these unless you provide a fan.
