the backup disk image could not be accessed (error 19) on unraid server

Featured Replies

I have a bit of a problem.

I have a mac running sonoma that will not complete a network backup via time machine.

It gives the following error: the backup disk image could not be accessed (error 19)

It can do a backup to an external drive no problem. (Thank goodness)

I have another running Ventura and it is working perfectly.

Steps I've taken to resolve:

I've tried restarting my sonoma machine. No luck.

Tried restarting my unRAID Server. Doesn't seem to have affected anything.

Attempt to verify backups. Stalls. Doesn’t work. Says “preparing to back up” endlessly.

Got this error again. Guess I have to start from scratch.

Backed up again. Now it's working properly.
