as you can see docker is eating up every thing and this is with all docker containers stopped and booted in "

ps aux | awk '{print $6/1024 " MB\t\t" $11}' | sort -n

and i see nothing out of the ordinary here the reason i started to try and diagnose this was its time to update my dockers and every time i try and update them i always get this image.thumb.png.045b76aeaaa7e5685d088df6d0d5a2f3.png

and so i dont know what todo to fix this. i have attached digs but they are with all dockers off and in safe mode if you need digs under any other circumstances just askfriday-diagnostics-20240610-1601.zip

That graph may be a little misleading as the docker bar is how much of the space is available for docker container installations to use (normally in the docker.img file) and is being used and has nothing to do with RAM.

When configured ideally the docker.img file should only contain the binaries for docker containers, and all location that the containers dynamically write files to should be mapped to a location external to the container on Unraid storage.  When done that way the default size of 20GB is fine for the vast majority of users j less you run a lot of containers.  Most of the time when the docker.img file fills up it is dues to having something not configured that way so files are being written to the docker.img file.

As a first step I would suggest you start by using the Container Size button to see if you can spot which container is using up the space.  If you can spot one then you want to check its volume mappings.

BTW:  That part of the dashboard has been reworked for the next release so will be far clearer and less subject to e ing misunderstood.
