Parity disk fails

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm having issues where my Parity disk fails once a week it seems. What I have is a NUC with a NVMe for disk1 and a SSD for a Parity disk. I also have a SMB share to my local NAS. Now, I'm not sure if this is the best setup and open to ideas but for now, I just need to get this working. I have included my diagnostics.

Thank you for any help given.

You are virtualizing Unraid, that is not officially supported, but for best results try passing though the disk controller.

Are you saying to pass it thorough in ESXI? I thought I did but will need to look more into it if I didn't

Yes, you are using the VMware controller:

02:00.0 SATA controller [0106]: VMware SATA AHCI controller [15ad:07e0]
    DeviceName: sata0
Subsystem: VMware SATA AHCI controller [15ad:07e0]
    Kernel driver in use: ahci
    Kernel modules: ahci
