Web Gui Slow or Unresponsive - nginx segfault likely on cpu?

Featured Replies

I built a new system a few months ago which was running without issue until about a week ago.

Build details:

CPU: i5-13500

MB: ASRock Z690 Extreme

RAM: 32 GiB DDR4

One week ago I swapped out my parity drive for a larger option. That drive started showing signs of failing 3 days ago. At the same time I started experiencing slowdown and/or unresponsiveness in the web GUI culminating in needing a restart of the system using the power button on my tower because I couldn't access the GUI or ssh in.

I pulled out the defective parity drive and am currently running without parity while I wait for a replacement to arrive in the next couple days. The slowness of the GUI has returned after 12ish hours of functioning normally.

I'm seeing consistent segfault errors in the logs similar to the below example:

Jun 11 18:32:56 Potato kernel: nginx[31594]: segfault at 547adb1 ip 00000000004361b9 sp 00007ffc6005c500 error 4 in nginx[424000+110000] likely on CPU 8 (core 16, socket 0)

Any ideas what could be going on here?

Passed the first round of memtest with no errors.

I'm going to let it go a few more rounds and will update

4 passes. 4 hours. No errors.

Try booting in safe mode to rule out any plugin issues.
