Special single Disk with SMB Share?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was wondering if and how it is possible to ad a Disk to a UnRaid Server outside of the array.

My Idea is...

At the moment we have a Bubba B3 that holds the Music for our Sonos System.

What I would like to to is, take a Disk, put it into my UnRaid Box, create a SMB share (let us call it Music),

everyboy in the local network is able to read and write to that share and that's it.

It shall not use one of the 20 Data Disk Slots, no Spin Down is needed, ist it is possibe, nice extra, cause I would use the SSD from the Bubba and also no redundancy is needed.

I there a way to do this, for a beginner like me?

THX for the Link.

Have spend now hours with it, no result beside frustration.... :-[

What version of unfair are you using?  Snap will not work with 5b14 yet.  There is an update in the pipeline.

I've got it working perfectly under 4.7

Just install snap, add the drive, mount the drive and share the drive.

When you add the drive make sure you put the serial no the a name for your drive apps or music

THX, if there had been an note in the first Post ::), where You download SNAP, it would have saved me a lot of time. :-\

I'm using 5b14.
