June 17, 20242 yr I'm going back and forth between xfs and zfs for my new Plex NAS setup. I currently have 8x8tb WD Reds, 3x 16tb WD Ultrastar, 1x 1TB SSD, 1x 500GB SSD. I can grab another 16TB drive if needed. I would like to have the following 1 volume across all the drives Survive 1 or 2 drive failure Decently high performance for multiple 4k streams. I'm debating between ZFS and XFS. Just need some opinions why I should go for one or the other.
