Good morning,

Brand new Unraid user. I bought the pro license back in February when it was announced that plans were changing, but I'm only getting around to utilizing it now. I did the basic install via the web GUI yesterday and tried to activate via my emailed code. After entering my personal information, it took me to a screen with the text "Post Request Required" and no other information. Tried again, same outcome. I then tried to kick off with a temporary license which went fine and then activate my paid license afterward, still ended up at the same "Post Request Required" screen. Any assistance with the activation process would be appreciated.

(And man, I'm hoping I'm not getting in over my head. I bought Unraid with the impression that it's very user friendly. I hope I'm not showing my inexperience in my struggle to do something as basic as activate).

Thanks!

That can happen if you have a more complex network setup, a previous user having the same issue, reported that because the Cloudflare's DNS service also acts like an ad blocker in a sense similar to Pihole (a DNS hole for ads), going to the router and changing the DNS settings to pull from his ISP and then flushing DNS on the server, resolved the issue.

A different user also reported that what caused the problem problem for him was the Asus router firewall. Once disabled, redeeming the code worked, so if you are using something similar please try the same.

Not running anything fancy, just an original Google Wifi mesh system for my router. I'll try disabling any basic firewall settings later today.

I'm very inexperienced when it comes to networking, learning as I go, so I'm hoping I don't have to get too crazy getting things up and running (trying to set up a basic Plex server).

So, I had my router (original Google Wifi) set to "automatic" for DNS. I tried both Cloudflare's DNS (1.1.1.1) and my ISP's DNS and neither selection resolved the issue (after being sure to restart the router with each change... Any other suggestions?

You can try using a VPN.

So, I don't know what changed, but today it worked. I did update Unraid to the latest stable version but beyond that, nothing changed (I hadn't tried any VPN stuff). So, issue solved, but I'm not confident it's anything I did on my side.
