Help installing 3rd party application (restic)

Good Afternoon,

 

I use a program called restic to backup my unraid data to the cloud.

I'm currently running restic on a windows machine, and the shares are accessed over SMB, which works, but is extremely slow.

 

I have much better performance when I run restic directly on unraid. 

 

I'm currently running the binary from /usr/local/bin, but it's deleted at reboot.

 

Is there a better approach that you can recommend?

I also use Restic. I installed "Nerd Tools" plugin from Community apps and enabled Restic from there.

Restic is great, once you get the hang of it.
