transfer files from one server to another with krusader

Recommended Posts

I have to move about 40tb of files from one unraid server to another on my network. Is there a way to configure the 2 servers so I can move them with Krusader, or even MC?

If so does anyone have a procedure or link with the forums to do that?

Thanks in advance

I'm back.  Having never done this.  I went into Unassigned on both machines. Notice that there was a section to set up NFS Shares.  I went into settings and enabled NFS.  I then set up NFS Shares to mount for both machines.  How do I get MC to see the other server? I set up the servers to see each others media share., have a green ball beside them on the main tab.  Pretty much stuck now.

Well, I'm back. Had everything running in above configuration then disaster struck. Water leak from dishwasher cascaded through the floor into my basement and ruined my backup server (Tower2).  All back up and running but I can't my primary (Tower) to mount my backup server-Tower2.

1. Went into the unassigned devices menu and found the server

2. Tried to load shares but they couldn't be found, so I backed up, came back in and manually loaded.

3. Everything said success and looked exactly like how Tower is mounted on Tower2 (see picture 1)

4. I click mount and get failure (picture 2)

5. Sooooo, I go to syslog (picture 3)

What am I missing here?  Picture 4 shows my primary server (Tower) successfully mounted from the Backup (Tower2).  Not sure which way to go now. I've rebooted both. Checked NFS setting for both and they are identical. (yes and 330)

Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention that when I go into Tower2 and click on  the highlighted mountpoint, after mounting, I get the entire share index list.  Since I can't mount Tower2 from Tower, the mountpoint is highlighted but since it isn't mounted, I'm not getting the index. So I guess it comes down to  this:

Why can't it find the mountpoint correctly?

Well, this took an interesting turn. I've been tracking how many times I tried to manually and/or automatically get this to see my Tower2 share remotely. Same with rebooting.

I tried to load the share 43 times. I rebooted, both machines 5 times. Guess what? On the 5th reboot of both machines, all the sudden it saw the share.  I don't get it! I guess the secret is to just reboot until it works!
