Hide some folder from a user

Featured Replies

hi guys, I have a question about the folder access permission

I have folder A B C
I have user : 1 2 3

I know how to set the access permission for different user and different folder.

BUT , if I want user 1 only can see and access A folder , user 2 only can see and access B folder, user 3 only can see and access C folder when they create smb either on win or mac, they only can access and see their own folder but other folders are hidden then what should I do with the permission and Share setting?

Unraid does not (currently) have a standard way of doing that.    You can control access on a particular share, but at the SMB level you have to make the sharer visible on the network or not regardless of the user.   The closest would be to have the shares as "Hidden" but then the users would need to know the share name they need to access.
