[Solved] UnRaid 4.7 and Windows 7

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have Unraid 4.7 running and running SABnzbd, CouchPotato, Headphones and Sick Beard.  All works great and really love the setup.  But when I try to write to or read from the Unraid box to my windows 7 64bit pc, my windows 7 pc freeze (I have to shut down to recover).  I am able to stream movies, tv shows or music without any issue to another windows 7 32 bit system.  I have not tried coping files yet though and should do that.

Any suggestions?

Set up a share on the 32 bit system and try to read and write the same files.

I will do that.  I should have said that I am on my windows 7 pc 64bit and using mapped drives to my user shares on the unraid server.  I can open the share, but can't write to them or copy from them without my 64bit windows 7 system locking up.

I will try the same on my 32 bit windows 7 too.

I have not had any issues like this using my 4.7 unRAID system from Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

I think I found the issue.  I have a Atheros L1 Gigabit on my asus mb.  I found that I was using a Microsoft driver.  I upgraded (2009) to an Atheros driver and now (just now testing) it seems to be working.
