Setting Network Speed limit on Unraid Server

Featured Replies

Hi I was wondering if there was any way how you could limit the network bandwidth on your Unraid Server without having to use external Hardware devices such as Routers, Firewalls etc...

My goal is to achieve a certain Internet Download limit on a specific Docker Container.

For example:

Docker Container DC1 downloading at a speed of 1MB/s

Did any of you ever try something similar?

That should be the responsibility of the application.

For example, NZBGet: Settings - Connection - DownloadRate

Well I am using the LANcache Prefill Docker which does not have any Settings for that what so ever. Any different ideas/solutions?

Request that the feature to be added in the Support Thread for the Docker container.

Hi thanks for the answer. I will do that in a bit but however I think until this feature being implemented, a lot of time will have passed (months or even years). Does anybody know any other solution on how to do this manually? I even tried downloading apt and installing some kernel modules to use the tc command however without any success.
