Entire system crashing Unraid 6.12.10 (Plex related?)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing intermittent crashes with my Unraid system for over three months now. I've hoped that updates would resolve the issue, but it persists. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

1. **Memory Testing:** Ran a 12-hour Memtest on two different kits of RAM, both with XMP enabled and disabled—no issues detected.
2. **Power Supply:** Replaced the power supply, suspecting a power loss based on the syslog not showing anything but crashes continue.
3. **BIOS Reset:** Reset the BIOS on the motherboard.

4. **Cache to XFS** I’ve set the Cache drive to XFS

5. *Moved app data** I’ve moved all app data to the array and back to the cache just trying to find something.

Despite these efforts, the crashes still occur. I suspect the issue might be related to my Plex server. I switched from the binhex version to the official version, but the crashes persist. I’m using an i7 9700k and passing the iGPU to Plex. Sometimes I can watch an entire movie without issues, other times it crashes every 30 minutes. After a crash, everything boots back up and auto starts fine.

With Plex Media Server turned off, the system seems stable and doesn’t crash.

I'm attaching the diagnostic zip file. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is my last effort before considering a complete system reset.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Edit: Syslog mirror to flash is turned on.
