Time set timeout on boot: "clock tick timed out"

Featured Replies

Unraid: 6.12.10 which is running in a Proxmox VM, USB pass-through.

Every time I boot I need wait for this command to timeout and error out (seems like 10-20s):

hwclock: select() to /dev/rtc0 to wait for clock tick timed out

Searching for this error produced results on Slackware going back to the early 2000s, but nothing on UnRaid or UnRaid forums.

Anyone know if this is a setting on the VM config side? Blocking access to the clock? Or is this a setting I can change in UnRaid?

In a terminal: this outputs the correct UTC datetime:

hwclock --directisa

This seems to work without error:

hwclock --directisa --systohc

Edit: This is also odd. rtc0 had 0 interrupts?
