January 14, 201214 yr Hi, I am running 5b13 and when I shut down and boot up again my cache drive is not detected anymore. I have been rebooting and trying to see what is in the BIOS (not detected there either) and am running out of ideas on what to do. All other five drives detect ok and I can start the array without problems. Any ideas? Thanks
January 14, 201214 yr If your bios isn't detecting it I would check. 1. SATA cable (use a different one that you know works) 2. Power connector 3. If on a a PCI(e) card, check to make sure its detected and working fine. 4. Plug that particular drive in where one of your other detected drives is and see if its the hard drive. 5. Put the drive in another computer and run a pre-clear on it to make sure its fine.
January 24, 201214 yr Author My cache drive is an SSD and after a bit more research it seems that the SSD is not good and needs to be RMAd. Putting in a regular drive as cache for now.
