January 15, 201214 yr i didnt want to post in this old thread, please read reply #19 >> http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=8349.15 so i have started this one, i have confirmed that the BIOS for my N40L is the same as the N36L which others have moified the BIOS to allow full speed on the ODD sata for use with a HDD, thats said, is it safe to use the latest BIOS revision and add the hacked bit or MUST i do as it says actually downgrading my bios to do the hack ?
January 15, 201214 yr Author ok..so i went ahead and did it...seems to make no difference to the version as i guess the hacked bios is older and just gets written over the newer one, odd though that they bothered to include the newer bios on the usb key..why not just delete it and let it install the hacked one ?..anyways i know have the option to disable combined sata mode
January 15, 201214 yr i used this one myself for my N40L. http://www.avforums.com/forums/networking-nas/1521657-hp-n36l-microserver-updated-ahci-bios-support.html My Russian is a bit rusty.. lol
