July 12, 20241 yr Community Expert Hi! Just got errors from a drive, but the smart tests are fine. I'm not sure how to interpret the diagnostics, how can I know if the problem comes from the drive itself or something else? I attached the diagnostics. Thank you! unraid-diagnostics-20240712-1300.zip
July 12, 20241 yr Community Expert It's logged as a disk problem, but it should be OK now, run an extended SMART test, short is not enough to confirm.
July 12, 20241 yr Author Community Expert Thank you, will do. Can you tell me where you looked in the logs to see that?

Just finished the full test, no error at all. Drive still shows as "error" on the dashboard. Any idea what could have caused it and what to do to prevent it from happening again? And can I change the "Error" status in the dashboard since it's fine? unraid-diagnostics-20240713-1956.zip
July 14, 20241 yr Community Expert Disk is OK for now, keep monitoring. 8 hours ago, Remy4409 said: And can I change the "Error" status in the dashboard since it's fine? Re-starting the array should do it, if not, reboot.
July 15, 20241 yr Author Community Expert Hi again! Just got a 5th error today, same thing. Should I consider replacing the drive? unraid-diagnostics-20240715-0942.zip
July 15, 20241 yr Author Community Expert Thank you! Could it be related to power or something even if it's logged as a disk problem?
July 15, 20241 yr Community Expert It's rare but I've seen it before, where a cable problem results in errors logged as disk.
