July 14, 20241 yr Howdy Unraiders, Back Story: Last night I had a bunch of stuff queued up for processing etc Unraid was running a bit sluggish I just chalked it to all the stuff I queued up for processing and went to bed; Woke this morning to my Unraid server unresponsive 😒 could only ping it and half asleep un-caffinated me decided to just force shutdown. Then to my pleasant surprise Unraid Server was no longer connecting to the network 😵💫 Issue: bzfirmware was corrupted Fix: Replaced the bz files Query 1: Once I recovered from the failure I went to look into the sys logs in Unraid but could see it only had from when I booted after recovery is there somewhere else I can see the logs from past this point to see what occurred last night on the server. Query 2: What is the best method for recovery in these scenarios to minimize down time when it is the Unraid OS itself can you make a complete clone of the USB so you can just swap it out and away you go?

Only if you enable the syslog server. 7 hours ago, CoffeeMonster said: What is the best method for recovery in these scenarios to minimize down time when it is the Unraid OS itself can you make a complete clone of the USB so you can just swap it out and away you go? Make sure you have an updated flash drive backup.

Hey Jorge thanks for the response I am assuming that the syslog server would need to of been enabled before hand And with the flash drive backup would this be updated flash that is licensed and ready to go I assumed this would be the case but not sure how it works with the licensing.

You you just need to transfer the license, or buy a spare one if you want to really be reedy to go.
