Plugging in an external usb drive will cause the flash memory of the running system to crash.

I have two usb ports on my mini pc, one of which plugs into the usb flash memory used to run the system.
After I insert a portable usb drive into the other port, there is a banner that says: "Your flash drive is corrupted or offline. Post your diagnostics in the forum for help."
At the same time the top right corner reminds me that "There is a physical problem accessing your USB Flash boot device".
At the same time, my interface goes back to English from Chinese, and neither the app nor the docker can be opened anymore.

Does anyone know what's going on here?

Thank you in advance.

Is the usb drive a portable type with just a USB plug or does it have a power adapter with it. If it is the portable type perhaps your minipc does not supply enough power for both usb devices. You could try connecting a powered hub to the second port to support the external drive.
