i am going to start the pre clear process with 4.7 i intend to buy a licence as well, i cant seem to download this stable beta release, is it no longer available ? the downloads section starts from 8d..is it ok to go ahead with the job on 4.7 then use the stable beta when i can get it ?

    As long as you are using the latest version of the preclear script AND it isn't a 3 or 4TB drive (since 4.7 don't support them) then doesn't make a difference if you preclear on a 4.7 system and use them in a 5.x system
