Unable to access the unraid login screen

Featured Replies

Last night i could access my login screen and login (all functioning correctly), this morning i could not.

Symptoms/details:

  • When accessing via ip my browser window just hangs, no error, just nothing
  • When accessing via server name i get error in screenshot (serenity is the server name)
  • have tried http and https for both
  • i can ping the server
  • I have plex and nextcloud dockers and i can access and use both without issue, no slow down - functioning fine
  • i can access all of my shares via my other connected machines
  • I do not have the unraid connect app installed on the server (wish i knew about it before) so i can't try accessing via that

Update:

I connected my monitor and keyboard, tried to run diagnostics but it did nothing, seemed to accept my command but nothing happened. No other commands would work after that.

So i resorted to powering down via the power button on the server, single press. Seemed to power down safely but i noticed in command line it tried to shutdown ngnix "gracefully" and then after a few seconds said "killing ngnix" - not sure if this is something or nothing.

Since reboot, everything appears to be working fine and actually nextcloud is a little quicker to access, as is plex (subjectively, so i could be wrong).

How do i go about trying to diagnose the cause of what happened?

See if you can get the syslog:

cp /var/log/syslog /boot/syslog.txt
