Docker have all the same MacAddress

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I've created a VLAN for a couple of my DockerContainers to be able to be in my IOT-Network.
Specifically, it was done for Home-Assistant.

Now I've put a fixed IP Address for the needed docker.

My problem now, is that I have to create reservations, to be sure that the DHCP will not give those addresses away.

To do so, I've to put the mac address of the contianers.

I saw that all my container have the same MacAddress (specifically the one of my Unraid Server network card).

Is this normal ? (I knew that docker will randomize (with incrementation) every MAC Addresses).

Also - how can I achive that? Do I have to customize every docker with a "fake static MAC Address" ?

Thanks in advance
