January 17, 201214 yr Hi all, Opening this topic to see if anybody who has a Airport Extreme / Express has played around to see if this works with an unRAID box and specifically Avahi. The Bonjour Sleep Proxy wiki states that it is able to " ... advertise any Bonjour-supported services, while the host computer sleeps". I am certainly no expert with Apple's Bonjour Protocol or Avahi for that matter, but if a Apple computer on the network sees a Avahi service as a Bonjour service, then in theory is it not possible?! There are a couple of forums ( generic linux and unRAID) that ask this question, but no one seems to have come back with a "Yes" or "No" answer, hence this forum! Please feel free to call me an idiot and say "No, course it wont work!" and equally please say if you have a working setup... I just dont want to spend £90 to find out it doesn't! Thank!

Just re-read my original post an worried it sounds like I'm asking if Airport Express / Extremes are generically compatible with unRAID when I'm specifically curious if the Sleep Proxy / "Wake on Demand" feature works... Sorry to pester but could you just confirm that your able to wake your unRAID box from sleep when access is required? Thanks again!
January 19, 201214 yr Alxscott, I thought that is what you might be asking, but didn't want to leave you in total darkness if it was not. Unfortunately I do not have my unraid box setup to sleep. If I am not planning to use it for 2 or more days I just shut it down. I am sorry I couldn't help you out.
