Silvaire
Hi, initiated a reboot within Unraid this morning. I was on 6.12.10. Server never came back up. I looked in my PiKVM and was able to see that it booted into Linux. I logged in but could not figure out why nothing else was loading. I got some help on Discord and eventually resolved to update to 6.12.11 with my config file backed up and ported over onto the key. I've booted from that and still have the same issue. When logging in to safe mode or safe mode with GUI, I still cannot access localhost. Please find my diagnostic attached. tower-diagnostics-20240719-1028.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Try booting with a new flash drive using a stock Unraid install, no key needed, that will point if the problem is the current flash drive or its config, or an external issue. Quote Link to comment
Silvaire
Getting a new usb key delivered tmrw morning. So far I see no evidence that it's the flash drive. Is there any smoking gun to be found in the diagnostics? Quote Link to comment
Silvaire
I just tried with another usb key I had. No dice. I noticed that when I use the flash backup from Unraid Connect, the key creator app also does not correctly make the usb key on either usb drive. It's missing the config file and other stuff. I believe, as a result, its not bootable and it just goes into bios. The only way to get to Unraid is if I create a fresh usb key and then copy over my config file. That lets Unraid boot, but not to GUI or docker. But I can run any further diagnostics as needed. Edited July 20 by Silvaire Quote Link to comment
Silvaire
Posted in Discord, but was required to start fresh to get the webgui to work and then carefully copy files from config one by one while manually reinstalling plugins. I don't know what happened but hopefully my diagnostic helps if it happens to someone else. Of note is that the Unraid creator tool was completely broken when trying to use a flash backup from Unraid Connect. It was creating unbootable keys that did not have EFI folders nor my actual config. I reproduced this across both USB keys. Quote Link to comment
