Tried Parity Swap, Possible Failure?

Featured Replies

So I tried the parity swap procedure but was following the wrong step by step.. I took my parity off my array and started it up. Stopped it and tried to do that copy to the new drive but didn't get a copy button. Realized I had messed up and put my new 18TB drive in my parity and began building parity. My old drive was 12TB and the parity that's being built on my new 18TB says total size is 12TB. Is this because the old drive was 12TB and it's building the same parity or does Unraid think this is a 12TB drive still?

Basically what I did was remove the parity drive, start/stopped array and placed the 18TB in the parity. Wanted to make sure I didn't just waste my time building parity on this drive if I messed it up.

If you followed these steps then it should be building all 18TB of parity as long as Unraid is showing the drive size as being 18TB.
