VM Passthrough AMD 780M Code Error 43

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

I am trying to setup my virtual machine with my iGPU AMD 780M on Windows 11, but on device manager it keeps appearing as code error 43 when inspecting it.

It also, sometimes randomly crashes my whole server with 2 visual display drivers when booting.

I've tried to install AMD drivers but without any luck

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same issue with a Windows 10 setup.

Appreciate if anyone could help.

I am able to create a window 10 setup with a working 780M in the VM.

The basics of doing this is as follows:

1.  Create the Win 10 VM using VNC as the virtual graphics card.

2.  Once VM is created, enable RDP in windows.

3.  Edit the VM in Unraid to remove the VNC virtual card and enable the IOMMU bonded Phoenix3 (780m) and Rembrandt audio.

4.  Settings within Unraid - Under VM Manager set PCIe ACS override to Multi-Function, VFIO allow unsafe interrupts to Yes.

This works and is very stable.

However, I cannot reboot this VM within Unraid - rebooting VM ends with Code 43 on the 780m in Win10.  If I need to reboot, I need to reboot the whole Unraid system.

Anyone know how to fix this?
