Thunderbolt 2 support to Mac Pro

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Mac mini (late 2012) with 16GB RAM and two 2TB SSDs. I'm considering running Unraid on it as a “cache drive”. Is it possible, and will it support a Thunderbolt 2 connection directly from my Mac Pro 2013(trashcan)?

The idea is to transfer data from the Mac Pro to the Mac mini, which will then send it to my array at an off-site backup (HPE DL380 G10, currently running unraid) during off hours. The primary use is to offload movies and raw images from client shootings.
