Hi everyone, I had a look and I am a member of this forum since 2012!

I always on and off with unraid and my current set up is trunas, I am considering moving back to unraid but I have a few questions , I tried asking on reddit but got 0 answers so not sure if  my questions are very stupid, or too advanced but support from the community is important to me, so I really hope I can get some answers.

Current set up : 1x 20tb hard disk, 1 x 8tb hard disk.

I would like to have a proper set up with raid, and have 3x 10tb drives en-route.

My thinking is 3x10tb ZFS,RAIDZ

18TB - Snapshots, backups archives

Can I have more then 1 array type on unraid 7?

have a bunch of old drives I can trough in the mix.

I have a 2tb ssd and 512 NVME

Should I use 1 for cache and 1 for docker apps, I heard somewhere fast stroage should be used as a pool for apps+cache.

Is this an ideal set up ?

thanks 🙂

Currently you can have one array and multiple pools, with 7.0 the array is no longer required, it is with 6.12.

This would be a pool

This could be a single device pool or used with the array without parity.

One can create one pool for each, and yes, docker and VMs should be on an SSD pool.
