UNRAID on QNAP TS-453A - Missing Disks

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I have a QNAP TS-453A which I'm running unraid. The first two disk are working fine but I'm missing the other two.

I read this topic:

And tried booting with pci=noacpi, and my unraid get stuck just after boot (no ping, no webui, tring login from console get stuck after inserting the username)

Tried also with pcie_port_pm=off, the system boot but I still cannot see the disk. Do you have any suggestion?

I'm afraid that if this doesn't work don't really have more suggestions, did you try both 6.12 and 7.0-beta? Different kernel can make a difference.

Hello Jorge,

Just update to 7.0-beta2 but no success with the pcie_port_pm=off

Attached my diagnostic, if you would want to have a look!

There are two additional controllers being detected, and they appear to be initialized correctly, but no link is detected other than the first two ports:

Jul 26 12:10:29 NAS-UNRAID kernel: ata3: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)
Jul 26 12:10:29 NAS-UNRAID kernel: ata6: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)
Jul 26 12:10:29 NAS-UNRAID kernel: ata5: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)
Jul 26 12:10:29 NAS-UNRAID kernel: ata4: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)

Jul 26 12:10:29 NAS-UNRAID kernel: ata7: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)
Jul 26 12:10:29 NAS-UNRAID kernel: ata9: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)
Jul 26 12:10:29 NAS-UNRAID kernel: ata8: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)
Jul 26 12:10:29 NAS-UNRAID kernel: ata10: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)

This looks like too many ports, possibly they are not getting detected correctly, the only other option I can think off would be

pci=realloc=off

But really doubt that will help, since there's usually a specif error when that is the problem.

No, I didn't, it wasn't a priority for me so I gave up.

Thanks, I guess I will try another model.
