Single Drive Filling

Featured Replies

TL;DR despite all shares being set to either high-water or most empty, one hard drive has been filled to 95% capacity while other sit between 75% and 5%.

I've recently added two new drives to the array, and since doing that, one of the drives has been receiving a majority of the new data. I've also recently added a new share, movies-uhd.

I'm attaching the diagnostics.

The server is a Supermicro X12STL-F, Intel® Xeon® E-2336, 32 GB of DDR4, two 960 GB Intel/Solidigm S4620 SSDs, and 10 shucked WD drives.

The new share is movies-uhd.

Split level for that share is set to 1, note that split level overrides allocation method, set it to "split all" and re-test.
