July 27, 20241 yr Good morning everyone, I recently purchased an ION EPYC UPS to protect my Unraid server. After conducting several tests, I noticed that the UPS does not turn off after the Unraid server shuts down, even though I have correctly configured the settings. Does anyone have any idea how I can resolve this issue? Thank you in advance.
July 27, 20241 yr Solution Not all UPS support this and it also depends on the implementation in the UPS driver itself. If it does not work for you with the in-built "UPS Settings" (apcupsd), you can also try with the NUT plugin.
July 27, 20241 yr Author Thank you, I installed it and now it works correctly. The plugin noticed that the UPS uses usbhid with CyberPower, and apparently there are various issues with the original unRAID tool. Do you know why?

Do you know why? apcupsd (the in-built program) is just a different program with different drivers, it works well for some UPS and not so well for others. I'm glad everything works for you now with NUT, make sure you disable the in-built "UPS Settings" when using NUT so the two programs don't interfere with each other. 🙂
