January 21, 201214 yr I've been trying to copy some material from my trusty unraid server to an NTFS formatted USB 2.0 HD, but run into trouble. The file copy process freezes at 99% for large files.It does not matter if I use Directory-opus, or built in explorer. I have tried to do the copy process on 2 other win7/64 pc`s with total different hardware, but same happens. Microsoft has issued an update for this problem for systems with nforce usb controllers, but that does not apply to my hardware.my main workstation has Intel ICH10 host controller. Browsing the net, there seems to be many users facing this problem, but so far I have not found a solution.Well, I have an old bedroom laptop running xp doing the job for now, but it does not even have gigabit ethernet so it takes forever. Have any users of this forum encountered this problem, or even solved it?
January 22, 201214 yr what happens of you copy it local first then to the drive? i know that is not ideal, but might be faster then the XP 100MB. i usually use 2k8 or esata so i have not seen this personally.
