January 22, 201214 yr I originally had only (4) 3TB drives in the box, and they were labeled as sda sdb sdc sdd now, after adding a SATA controller card and (4) 1TB drives, the new 1TB drives are labeled as sda sdb sdc sdd and the old/original 3TB drives are labeled as sde sdf sdh sdi I don't know why sdg is "missing", but my main concern is if there are any internal things, or plugins that might try to refer to the old labels, and will now point to the wrong drives, since they have changed. I assume not, but want to be sure before I get too much further down the road, and have to try to recover from mistakes. thanks for any help here.
January 22, 201214 yr If you have custom scripts that check smart status, they may be off. unRAID emhttp does not use the /dev/sd? naming convention. It uses the names from a different folder in /dev What may happen is you have to re-assign drives to the appropriate slots in the devices screen.
