July 30, 20241 yr Assuming zfs is on partition #1 those pools should import without a problem, post the output of: zpool status -LP
July 30, 20241 yr Author @JorgeB Thanks for watching this and I hope you can tell me something good: root@Tower:~# zpool status -LP pool: QNAPZFS state: ONLINE scan: resilvered 0B in 00:22:58 with 0 errors on Tue Jul 30 09:42:59 2024 config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM QNAPZFS ONLINE 0 0 0 raidz1-0 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdi1 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdg1 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdj1 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdk1 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdl1 ONLINE 0 0 0 logs /dev/sda1 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors pool: QNAPZFS2 state: ONLINE scan: scrub repaired 0B in 01:07:45 with 0 errors on Thu Jun 8 16:44:30 2023 config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM QNAPZFS2 ONLINE 0 0 0 raidz1-0 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdm1 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdn1 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdf1 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sdh1 ONLINE 0 0 0 /dev/sde1 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors root@Tower:~#
July 31, 20241 yr Both pools should import without issues, to do that: export both pools first with zpool export pool_name create two new pools in the GUI, first one with 6 slots, second one with 5 slots assign the devices from each pool using the GUI, for the first one, the logs device should be assigned together with the other devices to the main pool, Unraid will then sort them during import start the array and both pools should be imported If they don't mount post the diagnostics.
July 31, 20241 yr Author @JorgeB How do I add a cache that is located on the partition of the Samsung EVO?😊
July 31, 20241 yr Author @JorgeBThere are two partitions on the Samsung 850 EVO SSD: I removed the cache especially before I did the import into Unraid here: logs - - - - - - sda1 0 464G 0 0 0 0 cache - - - - - - sda2 860K 466G 0 0 0 0 Do I have to do this in the console or is it possible to set the second partition as cache via the interface? zpool add QNAPZFS cache /dev/sda2 Edited July 31, 20241 yr by Soliver84
July 31, 20241 yr Unraid does not support using two partitions in the same device, if you add that partition, it will stop being able to import the pool.
