January 23, 201214 yr The program is Unraid 5.14 Pro. Only lately 5.14 began identifying a hard drive, the drive in question is a 1.5tb Seagate 7200. Two days ago it began to identify this particular drive as a 2tb that was defaulted. Then when rebooted, it would reidentify as a 1.5tb replacement and gives this message, "Replacement disk is too small". It will not allow me to continue to mount as I need to replace with a 2GB hard drive. This drive has always been the same, never changed. Also, it no longer recognizes my shares that I created, Movies, Audiobooks, Music, etc... Another problem is that twice it has labeled my Sandisk 2gb flash as a 2tb's. This all started yesterday, after two weeks of great service. . I have removed and replaced drive, drive tests good with Seagates program. I have attached my syslog zip syslog.zip
January 24, 201214 yr Author the problem is that unraid thinks the drive was a 2tb, and it was replaced with a 1.5tb. However, the drive was never changed, replaced, or moved. It has only been the original 1.5tb hard drive I don't know why unraid thinks this drive was replaced. Any thoughts???
January 24, 201214 yr Author Is there a way to find original configuration of drives? or to change without unraid having a hissy fit?
January 24, 201214 yr You can try "New Config" under the Utils tab. This will invalidate parity so only do this if you're certain that all of the data disks are good. A new parity will be generated.
January 24, 201214 yr Author I'm trying New config today, I will get back to you later see how this is working.
January 24, 201214 yr The missing shares and the flash drive also acting up make me believe you may have hardware issues. The missing shares can be cause by a corrupt filesystem on a disk. I'm not sure about the flash size issue. Peter
January 25, 201214 yr Author Update. Day 1 After new config, the array works just fine. Even the Shares are back. Day 2, integrated new hard drive into the array, this would be a Seagate 750g. unraid 5.14 beta labels same 1.5TB hard drive as 2TB disabled as previously discussed. Leads me to believe that either the hard drive is intermittent symptomatic, or hard ware issues as another person stated. I'm re "new config" my array today. and re test the array without new hard drive integrations. I plan to change driver bays to verify if other hard ware may be causing symptoms. will update soon with my finding.
January 25, 201214 yr Author Please remember, I'm an "Unraid Newbie" at this, if any one has other ideas, pleas chime in.
January 25, 201214 yr Author additional relative info, The array worked fine when powered on first time on day 2. It was only when new hard drive integration, that I started having problems. Same as the last hard drive integration. Don't know if this is relevant or not. But in the sake of testing beta software OR LOOSING MY INFO I'm still playing with 5.14 Beta
January 26, 201214 yr Author I have 1 parity, 7 in array, 1 cash total of 9 In a Supermicro with Emacs R3G-6650P 650w 3U Rackmount Triple Redundant Power Supply
