Jellyfin remuxing no audio

Featured Replies

I've got my server setup with Unraid and Jellyfin on a Docker container. Hw acceleration is working, although there's been some significant trial and error. I'm finding that Jellyfin remuxing criteria to be really inconsistent. Sometimes will require remuxing others not, on the same file, playing on the same TV. Is this normal?

The server cpu is an Intel Xeon E3-1245 V6, client is a 2022 Samsung TV running Tizen 5.5.

My main problem is that shows released by Apple will play fine but those from HBO don't, both being at 4k. In the shows from APTV, the title reads 2160p resolution but the media info is different (video resolution is actually 3840x1920p), see attached screenshot. These direct play just fine.

However HBO shows won't direct play, they get remuxed because the "container isn't compatible" and they loose the audio. On top of that, the TV kinda freezes when I hit pause/play and I have to turn it off. The audio codec on the HBO shows is also EAC3, so I'm a bit at a loss here...

Any help will be appreciated!
