Failed Drive - Parity swap procedure with dual parity setup

Featured Replies

Hello all, little question about the parity swap procedure:

My server is 2x6tb parity, 3x6tb array. One of my array drives is that's showing signs of starting to fail. Instead of replacing it with a 6tb drive (as storage is getting low), I plan to swap it with a much larger 12tb drive then after, upgrade my parity drives to support the larger array disk.

If I plan to complete this, I would need to use the parity swap procedure. However, in all of the examples I've read on reddit and youtube, they all have one parity drive in their array. As I have two parity drives, can I still complete the parity swap procedure? As after the drive copy function is completed, my server will have a 6tb parity drive and a 12tb array drive which wouldn't work.

Would Unraid allow me to complete the copy process, then after it's completed, let me upgrade my other parity drive to 12tb?
