August 1, 20241 yr A couple years ago, I took on the project of hosting my own server with my old PC tower. At this point it's been offline for most of that time, but I want to return to where I left off with the project. Unfortunately, it is not so straightforward as I had hoped. I can't remember a lot of the process I went through to initially set up the server, but I know I had it working with remote connect and had self-hosted a nextcloud instance. When I try to boot the server in Unraid GUI mode, the browser window fails to connect. I have it wired in to my router, and I verified the connection by opening another web page. I'm not sure where to go from here, and would love if someone could offer assistance, or recommend a resource I could use to troubleshoot. Any takers?
August 3, 20241 yr Author I came back to the server after a day and suddenly everything was working just fine. I was able to get it hooked up with Connect using the gui mode. It must have been testing me 🤷♂️
