Plugins starting before array can come online

Featured Replies

I've run into an issue where my plugins will start before the array is online which then prevents it from coming online because they create folders in /mnt/user/ - Where is this controlled? does each plugin need to be written a certain way or does unRAID manage this?

I even disabled my plugins and rebooted and it seemed to do the same thing. I have Plex, SAB, SB, CP, Mail and SSMTP, AND APC UPS installed. I believe the culprit is Plex although I think SB, SAB or CP might be doing it too...

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look or how to fix? I feel like it's probably a simple fix...

Are you using a cache drive at all?  If so, I've just specified "/mnt/cache/Applications/sabnzbd", etc.  My "Applications" share is only on the cache drive obviously.  Hopefully this helps (and if someone has a better solution I'd like to know myself!).

I do use the cache, I'm using /mnt/user/Apps (and Apps is a 'cache only' share). I have my install directories in the same locations so I wonder if the plugins are re-installing before the cache drive can mount (that's what appears to be happening)... Problem is, I don't know why it is doing it now and wasn't before.

Well basically it would be creating the "user" share before the array comes online, and then the array is not able to mount to it.  So in your case, using "/mnt/cache/Apps" should fix your issue, I know it fixed mine.  I've rebooted a handful of times to verify the issue hasn't cropped back up.

ahh, I see... Thinking back, that is what I used previously but when I setup the 'cache only' share I switched it and that is about the time I started having problems.

Have the same problem.

Using /mnt/cache/plugins and "cache only"

When i check /mnt/user i find the plugins directory in their to?

By the way,

I'm setting up an UNRAID box to my brother and he don't need alot of disks.

Is their a way you could use plugins without the cache drive?

They can go on an array drive or on a different drive you mount.

I am having the same problem.  When I restart my server, unless I manually stop each of the plugins before I restart the array will not come online.  I have to then stop each plugin and restart the server and then restart the plugins.  All my plugins are installed in /usr/local/... and data in /mnt/cache/.apps/....

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the plugin itself is having an issue causing it to hang. Try enabling the plugins one by one until you find the one causing the issue.

Also helps to know what plugins you run and a syslog
