Changed cache pool not 100% Raid 1

Featured Replies

I used to have my cache pool in raid 0 and have now change it back to Raid 1 by the balance button. But I can see there is still some of the data that is in Raid 0 and it does not change, no matter how many balance I run.

I want it all in Raid 1, because it want to change alle my ssd's to NVMe drives. But what I have read that wont be possibly before I have a complete Raid 1 setup in this pool.

Can anybody tell me what im doing wrong please.

Balance is failing due to corruption being detected, run a correcting scrub and post the results and new diags after it finishes.

How do I work around this corruption? Is it possible to see which drive it is and replace that so i can get a Raid 1 setup?

Delete or restore these files from a backup, then run another scrub to confirm no more errors:

path: appdata/Notifiarr/app.log
path: appdata/binhex-prowlarr/supervisord.log

It's this file now:

path: appdata/binhex-overseerr/supervisord.log

If it keeps detecting new errors you may have an underlying issue, like for example bad RAM.

That made it possible to do at Scrub with any errors found

I have also been able to change all data to Raid 1

Now that all of this is in ordre I wanted to start removing disk from my pool. But when I try, I get this pop-up.

I have followed this steps

  • stopping the array
  • unassigning the smaller drive
  • restarting the array (not able at this point)
  • waiting for the balance operation to complete to make the full space of the larger drive to be available (not able at this point)

Any idea what im doing wrong?

Pool cfg still thinks it's raid0, do this, stop array, unassign all 6 pool devices, start array, stop array, reassign all 6 pool devices, start array to re-import the pool, stop array, now try to remove the device and it should work
