Alex.b
I have 2 HD, the parity was checked at the beginning of the month without returning any errors. Since yesterday evening, one of my disks has been emulated. I've reversed the SATA and power cables, nothing changes, I still get the red cross. The disk spins and is always seen on UnRAID when I do a SMART (which gives no error). Any ideas? Thank you ! Edited August 8 by Alex.b Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted August 5 Solution Share Posted August 5 Diags are after rebooting so we can't see what happened, but SMART looks OK, so most likely a power/connection issue, and once a disk gets disabled it needs to be rebuilt, since the emulated disk is mounting and assuming contents look correct, you can rebuild on top. https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/storage-management#rebuilding-a-drive-onto-itself Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Nothing obvious logged, but disk1 is SMR, and that particular model has been know to sometimes have especially bad performance. Quote Link to comment
