helvete
I used an external drive reader to wipe clear and set up the new parity, thinking it would be easy to swap the disks after, but seems not. I thought unraid was supposed to know which devices are which. Now how can I get the system to see the new correct parity and then upgrade a data drive. Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted August 6 Solution Share Posted August 6 Just now, helvete said: I thought unraid was supposed to know which devices are which. It does, but some external USB devices change the names, if only the name changed you can do a new config. Quote Link to comment
helvete
Ok so let me add back the data drive and then do a new config and then remove the old data drive with the old parity drive - is there a way to change the name, as I was planning on using the external to do clearing for the future? and maybe it'll name them all the same?
