UNRAID becomes unresponsive after some time

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I have been having an issue with UNRAID since the start of my trial. After some time of leaving my computer on, time usually varies, UNRAID becomes unresponsive. The website is no longer accessible and the console freezes up, the only way to re-access is hard-resetting the computer.

I've attached my last tower diagnostic when I had rebooted. I did turn on syslog the first time when I encountered this issue but it only caught 4 lines then stopped recording.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Unfortunately there's nothing relevant logged, this can be a hardware issue, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.

Thanks for the lead, I’ll set it up again tonight and report any change tomorrow around the same time.

So after leaving it online it did still crash despite it being on safe mode. I had two possible leads, as this is old hardware I have a Ryzen 1600 with an AsRock X370 Killer SLI/AC mobo, I do recall when I enabled XMP it did occasionally BSOD on me. I turned this mode off, booted into my windows boot device and ran AIDA64 for about 30 minutes. I also decided to check my flashdrive and run a CHKDSK. It did find some issues so I ran the fix then set it up back in safe mode with none of the array running this time. This morning the tower is still down.

Do you think it might be my USB that is the issue?
