dikkiedirk
Is anybody else having problems with mounting a samba-share in unraid? I get this error- message when i try it: /usr/bin/smbmount: line 115: /sbin/mount.cifs: No such file or directory mount.cifs is listed red in Midnight Commander. It looks like mount.cifs is corrupt or missing or my flash is broken? Is there a way to list or check the contents of bzroot and bzimage on the flash? Is it fixable? Link to comment

I've used mkdir /mnt/mount_point_directory mount -t cifs //server/share /mnt/mount_point_directory always works for me. Link to comment

Thanks Joe I also tried that but then I get this: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on //192.168.10.102/media, missing codepage or helper program, or other error (for several filesystems (e.g. nfs, cifs) you might need a /sbin/mount.<type> helper program) In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try But smbmount and mount worked fine in 4.7, and I had no issues mounting this share. it seems like the /sbin/mount.cifs doen't exist or is corrupt. What does it mean that mount.cifs is listed red in Midnight Commander? I also have no trouble accessing the share in Windows. Link to comment

I also had this issue in 5.0b14. I just upgraded to 5.0RC1 and am now able to mount a smb share without any issue. Link to comment
