[SOLVED] Disabled Disk - Is It Toast?

Featured Replies

I received a notification today that my UnRaid array had a disabled disk.  I followed the troubleshooting guide to output a smart report.  However, I'm having trouble deciphering it.  It's attached.  Could anyone help me out and let me know what to make of it?  I really appreciate any input.

Thanks.

Jason

Run pre-clear on the disk and post a new SMART report. If you have a spare drive rebuild on to the spare.

Thanks.  I'm running a pre-clear on my spare and will then rebuild.  I just noticed that the HDD that was disabled is still under warranty so I think I'm going to just get it replaced.  Thank you for help.

I would verify the cables to it are plugged in securely first, otherwise you might be returning a perfectly good drive.

I agree. The drive may turn out to be healthy after a pre-clear.
