Parity check gets stuck at 51%

Featured Replies

When running this month's parity check, the progress becomes stuck at 51%.  I've tried several times but the estimated finish starts at 2 days (as normal) and then climbs into the hundreds of days once it gets to 51%.  The server has been live for years and this is the first failure.

I suspect that disk2 is having read errors as its LED stays lit while the others flicker occasionally when the issue occurs.  I have run extended SMART test on all the drives and no errors were found.  Disk2 did take about a day to finish, however.

I have attached the diagnostics report.

Check appears to still being going very slowly, but post new diags to confirm if it's advancing or not.

Thanks Jorge.  You were correct, it was progressing very slowly.  It gradually progressed from 51.2% to 51.5% before unraid declared Disk 2 (as I suspected) as bad due to read errors.
